On April 5, 2021 Judge Bruce Hampton received the "Tree of Life Award" from the Center for Children and Families, Inc. and CASA of Northeast Louisiana in recognition of April being Child Abuse Prevention Month. The award is given for outstanding service in his efforts to protect children from abuse and neglect. Additionally, Judge Hampton received a tree which he has planted in honor of a child who lost their life to abuse and neglect. Judge Hampton has been the presiding Judge over Juvenile Court for the past two years in Lincoln and Union Parishes.
